Introducing the Ozempic® (semaglutide injection) New Patient Program

Ozempic^® (semaglutide injection) is a new once-weekly GLP-1 RA for the treatment of uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes.

The Ozempic^® New Patient Progam is offered to ensure patients newly started on Ozempic^® are provided with important information to ensure they can start their treatment with confidence.

Your role: Engage patients prescribed Ozempic^® with quality use of medicines counselling, injection training and awareness of the additional support and tools available to them.

The program will guide you through the key points to discuss with your patient when dispensing them with Ozempic^®. These include:

• Information about what Ozempic^® is and how it works
• How to dose and inject Ozempic^®
• Helpful tips on managing common side effects
• The patient support program provided by Novo Nordisk
• The Ozempic^® App which assists patients in remembering the weekly dosing
• Website providing coaching and support for managing Type 2 diabetes.

The program sponsor will provide a payment of $15 to your pharmacy for each program service form completed for the Ozempic^® New Patient Program in the MedAdvisor PlusOne console.
