MedAdvisor and PharmaPrograms announce partnership

MedAdvisor and PharmaPrograms are pleased to announce its partnership that will enable pharmacists to provide better access to a suite of programs for their patients and dramatically improve pharmacist claiming.

The first of the programs integrated is the PharmaPrograms Nurofen Plus Patient Program (Program) which will be enabled through MedAdvisor’s Health Services Hub (HSH) within PlusOne, allowing pharmacies to deliver more streamlined programs through MedAdvisor’s automated functionality whilst capturing, reporting and claiming interventions more efficiently and effectively. Some key features of the integration for pharmacist claiming are to:

  1. enable pharmacist to fast track their Program claims by doing them all at once.
  2. uniquely claim for broken packs of Nurofen Plus
  3. identify missed opportunities to implement the Program
  4. have easy access to pharmacy driven Program resources

The next program that is to be launched is the Amgen Pharmacy Partnership in Osteoporosis INTervention (APPOINT) Program. We will see the first module rolled out in late May. The balance of the programs will be rolled out over the next few months.

Con Tangalakis, CEO of PharmaPrograms states, “In our experience we have found all PharmaPrograms patients get better health outcomes when the pharmacist is supporting them every step of the way. The partnership is key for both MedAdvisor and PharmaPrograms to provide valuable assistance to pharmacist.

Robert Read, CEO of MedAdvisor concurs and adds, “we know that managing all professional services in pharmacy is not easy. There are multiple websites and programs which are disconnected resulting in inefficient workflows and unnecessary data re-entry. Consolidating the many programs through the Health Services Hub within PlusOne is important for our MedAdvisor client base as it further improves the day to day workflows providing pharmacist with the much-needed time to consult with their patients.”

Pharmacies that register for the programs will receive educational material to support the counselling of patients, empowering them to feel more in control.
